Our Village of Villeneuve Les
Beziers
The
apartments are situated in a beautiful village called Villeneuve Les
Beziers in the Languedoc Roussillon region.
The village
runs alongside the famous Canal du Midi where you will find a selection of
excellent restaurants with pretty scenery.
At night the village is lit with fairy lights and on certain nights, the
village will be 'en fête'
During the
summer there is a jazz, country, musical and even Harley Davidson
festival. There's jousting on the Midi, petanques and even paella and
mussel evenings.
In the
village there is a local supermarket, butchers, bakery and
newsagent/tobacconist. There is also a libary where you can find English
magazines along with the large selection of French books.
There is a
dentist and several doctors' surgeries in the village and a hospital
10mins away in case of emergency.
You will find
the village people extremely welcoming and friendly. The village is
mainly French, having few English families living there.
We are about
10mins away by car from lovely sandy beaches including the white beaches
of Valras Plage with its array of watersports i.e. sailing, banana boats,
pedalos, windsurfing etc! and the quiet yet beautiful beach of
Serignan. We are close to all major attractions and all amenities, 50mins
from Montpellier and 40mins from the beautiful historic city of
Carcassone.
The mountains
are about 20mins drive away and we are surrounded by stunning tourist
attractions, including St Guilhams desert- where there are caves,
historical churches and monuments, shops and breathtaking mountain
scenery. Aigues Mortes is another historical town to see, along with its
nearby flamingos and wild horses.......
